UPM-Kymmene Nordland Paper Mill

Nordland Paper produces coated and uncoated wood-free paper. The mill has a capacity of 1.4 million tons of fine paper per year.

Nordland Paper implemented core recycling in 2003. Released cores are collected from the sheeting department and transported to the CORECO core extension line.

“The cores, glued on the core extension line, can be used on all winders in the mill. The re-use of cores offers us the possibility for high cost savings for that material. Also core waste is lower than before.”
